i am wondering can the client run on a bsd based server?
because i have a few bsd server and i want to help the project.

The BOINC client can (see the download other OSes list, FreeBSD), but you'll have to check per project if the application can.

it the project does not support bsd?

World Community Grid
Rosetta@home
SIMAP
Einstein@home

none of them work~"~

Not natively no. But using an anonymous platform it is possible to do so, at least on these projects in your list:

This thread on the Einstein forums for their BSD application.

WCG forums thread on their applications.

SIMAP forums on their application.
