hello By the latest version you mean 5.8.1..? In that case, could you switch back to 5.7.5... Einstein should run OK on this version. ;-) ![]() |

i have tried the 5.8.1 and the 5.4.11 for the same result :( Could you post some specs... like CPU type, memory.. etc.. What BOINC prefs did you use while running 5.8.1? Default is: Use at most 50% of memory when computer is in use Use at most 50% of memory when computer is idle Did you alter any of this options? What BOINC version were you using prior to the 5.8.1 and 5.4.11 earlier mentioned? ![]() |

Default is: Actually the default is 50% when in use and 90% when idle. But Einstein doesn't use those preferences yet. Boinc shouldn't use any CPU. It is only a managing program, it doesn't crunch. |

Default is: You're correct... my bad. That's what happens when you have one eye on the television (darts) and the other one on the computer monitor.... ;-) Boinc shouldn't use any CPU. It is only a managing program, it doesn't crunch. Nope the einstein app does and BOINC shouldn't hit 100%, but if I'm correct it looks like ginie has installed BOINC on a dedicated server. Can that be done...? Isn't he sharing this server(and CPU) with others (running webpages and so on...)? ![]() |
