can i restrict how much information to be shown for public and forum and project personnel. i mean can i just make visible about my cpu manufacturer and model, nothing else. for example, it MUST show "Core i5-8400". |

can i restrict how much information to be shown for public and forum and project personnel. i mean can i just make visible about my cpu manufacturer and model, nothing else. for example, it MUST show "Core i5-8400". It is a bit all or nothing. It either shows all the information with the exception of the domain name and the offer to show ip address. (These are only visible to you.) or you can tick the box to make your computers hidden. Someone who knows the computer ID number for a specific project could still look it up but anyone finding it would see the owner listed as, "Anonymous." |

why bother? i've never understood this. nothing about your hardware is PII or otherwise sensitive info. just makes it harder for others to help you when/if you have a problem with your system(s) ![]() |
