For some reason, boincmgr is not working on my manjaro system. Instead of trying to solve the problem, I ran away from it. I got boinctui running after fussing with gui_rpc_auth.cfg and .boinctui.cfg. I need a manual. I haven't figured out how to navigate its menus. The colors are very low contrast and hard to read on my screen. |

Fussed with the terminal preferences and the default colors are readable now. Not sure if something is diverting keystrokes before they get to boinctui. It would help if I knew how it's supposed to work. |

I don't know if it helps, but a web search found this: How to control BOINC on command line with Boinctui And this: boinctui - Fullscreen text mode manager for Boinc client |

Use ALT + F, and use the cursor keys, to go through the menus. If you have mouse support in terminal, you can also use that. There are also keyboard shortcuts, by pressing ALT (you can use them as well) Another thing, there is a help section in Boinctui. It'll show you other shortcuts (like a=abort, v=details, etc...). You can pause WUs, abort them, etc... using keyboard commands. The keys I use the most is: 1- Directional keys (for browsing WUs) 2- PG UP/DN (for browsing logs) 3- ALT + letter (for browsing the menu) 4- V (for viewing WU details) 5- Q or CTRL+C (for exiting Boinctui) 6- Specific letter keys, for controlling WUs (abort/view details, etc...) all found in the help menu in Boinctui program You can also use Boinccmd to import projects, abort WUs, set your username and password, and other things, if you like the more terminal approach. |
