Ubuntu 20 seems to have much more optimized parallel workload, compared to 18. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=3900x-debian-ubuntu I wonder how it does against Windows? Is there any sort of benchmark out there to see if the same holds true for boinc projects? Is Linux // Ubuntu 18.04 that slow, compared to other operating systems, in regards to crunching data? |

Interesting. Not too long till the general release comes out when I shall upgrade one machine, see how it goes for a couple of days before probably doing the second. Wonder if there will be the same percentage difference on older hardware? |

It's mainly in massive parallel loads, The article specifies the AMD architecture, because they obviously have a different system than the trusted Intel Xeon processors. |
