Ver: 7.9.3 Headless Ubuntu 18.04 LTS SETI@home I am SSH -X into the computer and I am able to load 'boincmgr'. But boincmgr won't show a connection in the bottom. When I try to connect to localhost it shows it's trying to connect but ends up disconnected, is there a special password? I did 'sudo ufw allow 31416/tcp' still isn't working. Any ideas would be appreciated. -I want to believe |

First check that the client is running on the headless machine (the client is 'boinc', rather than 'boincmgr'). Something like top should tell you. Once boinc is running - essential for boincmgr to connect to it - review Controlling BOINC remotely and check that you've gone through all the procedures necessary for a remote connection to work. |
