Hi again BOINC community, I have another major announcement to make, this time in regards to the Beta release for the Minimal version of BOINC OS. This spin is the most minimalistic of the lot, fitting onto just a 4GB USB however it's interface has been cut back to only feature a command-line. It is intended to be used with headless servers and for users who just want to compute and nothing else. The Beta was announced after I finalised the BOINC OS Helper which acts as a friendly interface to this spin for a user who may be weary about trying out BOINC and the OS itself. For a slightly more detailed description in addition to some other announced projects, check out the main Steemit post listed below. Enjoy! Update: Fixed some bugs and updated the spins (v2.0.1) Just a notification that there have been some changes made to fix some issues regarding the minimal spin, there has also been a small update to the Graphical spin and I am trying out using bittorrent as a distribution service. Updated images will be on the GitHub releases page later today: https://github.com/delta1512/BOINCOS/releases Torrent structuring is a WIP as I've never done this so expect some inconsistencies. Each torrent packages the image, hashes and the associated documentation: BOINC OS Graphical v2.0.1 torrent link: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:usd6wdjqjfkphayjezyugs73fi7w2ssp&dn=BOINCOS-Graphical-XFCE-Beta-v2.0.1.img.zip&xl=1358459996&fc=1 BOINC OS Minimal v2.0.1 torrent link: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:f4i4jrta2ppwz7hahp2slir7t7tze4xv&dn=BOINCOS-Minimal-v2.0.1&xl=840292054&fc=3 |

Cool. I'll have to give it a try. Have you established a minimum spec to run it? Also, is this 32 or 64 bit? |

Sorry for the late reply. Minumim specs can be found on the README of the GitHub repo and also extended/more specific specifications can be found within the documentation. It is only 64-bit as stated on the website and in the documentation. Also thanks for asking this question because I noticed the requirements are a little broad on the README and I'll be changing them promptly. |
