BOINC is unable to get the hostname of any machine that uses a wireless card under Mac OS X it seems. Intel Mac Pro and a PPC PowerMac and it gets the hostname just fine, however the hostname get fails on the Intel MacBook Pro and PPC iBook. The common factor here is they are using wireless versus hardwired.
