It seems 7.6.33 of the macOS version of the BOINC client isn't getting notified that a system is or isn't idle. I have another old application that use to keep my screen from falling asleep (caffeine) that ceased to work, too, so I'm speculating Apple changed the way apps are notified about system user quiescence. Anyone else confirm this observation regarding the BOINC client? |

Just to make sure you have things set according to your preferences... When you check in BOINC Manager, View, Advanced view, Activity, your CPU and GPU settings are set to 'run based on preferences'? You have your preferences also set to only do work when the computer is idle, and done so in the correct venue, or in BOINC Manager's local preferences? |

I am running BOINC 7.6.33/macOS Sierra (v10.12) on a 21.5 inch, late 2013 iMac and haven't seen any anomolous idle detection behavior in the 24-hours since the OS installation. I'll continue to monitor the client and report any issues. -- Jon |
