Hey folks, My electric company charges a HUGE amount but only between the hours of 3pm-6pm. I know about the computing preferences and you can set times per day to run, but how about running all times EXCEPT between 3pm-6pm. I did a quick search and didn't find anything on here or on google. Does anyone know if this is possible through the BOINC client? |

Do you use BoincTasks program? I haven't used the rules in it but it looks like you could snooze projects during any hour of the day instead of how its setup in Boinc Manager. |

Here is a link to the BoincTasks web page: http://www.efmer.eu/boinc/boinc_tasks/ I use it and CAN confirm it has a very nice, easy-to-use graphical interface that allows you to set the run/snooze/sleep options by the hour on any days of the week independently from other days/hours. |

Hey folks, It's fairly simple. You set a run time in the general selection "Compute only between" from 6pm to 3pm i.e from 18:00 to 15:00 [yes you can], and if the peak does not exist in the weekend, set an override for those days. Coelum Non Animum Mutant, Qui Trans Mare Currunt |

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for all of your help. I'll take a look at tasks and report back. |

And finally a solution. I took "SekeRob2"'s advice and everything is working as expected. It's a simpler solution that I should have tried first, but ran to the forums first instead. Thanks all! |
